Three young homeless people, aged 16 to 19, were arrested Thursday, October 22 in full curfew in Lyon for attacking a disabled person.

The suspects were arrested at 11:45 p.m. Place Gabriel-Péri in the district of Guillotière (7th) when they had just stolen the backpack of their victim under the threat of a knife, reports this Monday the Sûreté du Rhône.

The victim was assaulted in the metro station located on the same square.

The gendarmes discovered that the two youngest possessed a tear gas canister.

The knife, however, has not been found.

Heard by the investigators, only one of the three questioned recognized the theft of the bag.

The oldest was left free, the other two were presented to the prosecution on Saturday.

A judicial investigation has been opened.
