A charred body was found overnight from Saturday to Sunday in a house ravaged by flames, in Béziers (Hérault), say the firefighters.

Help intervened around midnight, in a street in the city center of the Hérault sub-prefecture, while a house was engulfed in flames.

Another fatal fire the day before in the Gard

On their arrival on the scene, the firefighters noted that the fire had pierced the roof of the house.

About twenty men were mobilized for the operation.

For the moment, the causes of this fire which caused the death of a person are not known.

Investigations are currently being carried out in this direction.

The day before, it is an octogenarian who was killed in Salles du Gardon (Gard), while his house was ravaged by flames.

Despite his care, first by witnesses, who took him out of his home, then by the firefighters, this 88-year-old man, in a state of cardio-respiratory arrest, was unable to to be resuscitated.
