The match was filled with rough play by the two teams, which dominated the technical level, prompting the Cameroonian referee Niant to warn 7 players, including 4 from Pyramids, in addition to the expulsion of Bakr Al Hilali, a player from Nahdet Berkane, in the 89th minute.

With this coronation, Nahdet Berkane compensated for losing the title last season at the hands of Egyptian Zamalek with a penalty shootout.
