It is at Broby library that all municipal residents in Östra Göinge during the month of October can contribute to "Göingeväven" - either only by donating material to weave in, or also by actually weaving.

The library is behind the idea and the purpose is - in addition to creating a community - to draw attention to the fact that the Loom Museum in Glimåkra is 25 years old.

Great interest

Lillemor Johansson, who once started the Weave Museum, hopes that the project will make more people open their eyes to weaving.

- It's great to see that so many have come here and spontaneously woven.

We can well hope that we get a little more registrations for our courses in the future, says Lillemor Johansson.

When Göingeväven is finished, the idea is that it will be hung up in the library.

See when municipal councilor Patric Åberg (M) weaves two of his ties into what will be a 15 meter long work of art.
