Due to the spread of the coronavirus, the inauguration of the so-called Golden Bridge would be audience-free.

But shortly after the inauguration, outside the roadblocks, many Stockholmers waited and the bridge was quickly filled.

To reduce the risk of congestion, police, guards and security guards were on site according to the City of Stockholm.

- We had not agreed that the bridge would be opened to pedestrians.

There were lots of people but we had guards who tried to keep distance between people, says Eva Rosman, communications manager for Project Slussen.

Could you have done more so that it would not be crowded?

- The important thing was that people did not stand gathered in clusters and there I think the guards were enough.
