The Bleues coach Corinne Deacon, affected in recent days by the Covid-19 and far from the selection, was able to find the French team after being tested negative on Saturday, in view of Austria-France on Tuesday, said the supervision on Sunday.

The day after the Bleues' victory against North Macedonia on Friday in qualifying for Euro-2022 (11-0), which she followed on television, the coach carried out a PCR test in the Paris region for Covid-19 the result of which was negative late on Saturday evening, the same source said.

This allowed the technician to find the castle of Clairefontaine on Saturday evening, in the company of Gilles Fouache, the goalkeeper trainer who also tested positive before the rally.

The Blue will fly to Vienna this Sunday, two days before their match against the Austrians, who are tied with the French at the top of the qualifying group.

All the players were also tested negative on Saturday, confirmed the management of the Blue.

Deacon had tested positive before the start of this rally started on Monday, which prevented her from being present at the Clairefontaine training center for five days, even though she had remained in permanent contact with her staff, in particular by videoconference .
