The investigation established that on October 24 at about 18:30 in the Sea of Azov on the tanker General Hazi Aslanov, “an explosive mixture of cargo and flammable liquid Nafta ignited in the second cargo tank.
Earlier, the tanker General Hazi Aslanov was towed to the anchorage in the area of the port of Kavkaz.
On the evening of October 24, an explosion occurred on a ship under the Russian flag in the waters of the Sea of Azov.
After the incident, ten crew members were evacuated from the tanker, three more were left overboard, their search continues.
