Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo announced today, Saturday, that according to the current situation, Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo will be absent from the team in his scheduled match against Hellas Verona tomorrow, Sunday, in the Italian Football League competitions, as no negative results have yet appeared for his Corona tests.

"Until last night, there was nothing new about Cristiano ... We are waiting for the results of the swab," Pirlo said.

Pirlo added that the new streak of US midfielder Weston McKinney was negative on Friday.

It should be noted that the Italian League requires players to undergo negative tests 48 hours before the match.

And Portuguese media reported yesterday, Thursday, that Ronaldo's new tests were positive, and that he would miss the upcoming match against Barcelona next Wednesday in the Champions League.

The European Union for the game (UEFA) requires that the tests of isolated players come with negative results a week before the match, which means that Ronaldo will be absent from the match next Wednesday.

The tests revealed that Ronaldo, 35, was infected with the Corona virus on the 13th of this month, to leave the Portuguese national team camp at the time and return to Turin.

During his isolation, Ronaldo missed Juventus in his match against Croton (2-2) in the league, as well as in the match against Dynamo Kiev of Ukraine (2-0) in the Champions League last Tuesday.
