Denmark introduced stricter restrictions just over a month ago.

Then it was, among other things, that restaurants, bars and even private parties would close at 22.

Now these restrictions are being extended, but new ones are also being added.

To further minimize the spread of infection, the rules for workers from abroad are tightened - such as Swedes working in Denmark.

- We are also tightening the rules for workers from abroad to avoid the infection being brought into Denmark, from abroad to Danish workplaces, Mette Frederiksen said at a press conference on Friday evening.

- We will also help the police to intensify border controls, Mette Frederiksen continued.

Stricter rules in Denmark

Among other things, alcohol sales will now be banned in stores after 22.00.

- To reduce the infection, we are introducing restrictions that apply for the next three months.

Firstly, we reduce the number of people who gather from 50 to ten people, said Mette Frederiksen.

Requirements for mouth protection are introduced in public places and indoors in public premises.

- It's about grocery stores, shopping centers and cinemas, schools and in healthcare.

These restrictions will be extended until the second of January, said Mette Frederiksen.
