The current US President Donald Trump, during the final debate with Joe Biden, said that his opponent received Russian money through Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Joe received $ 3.5 million from Russia, which was done with the assistance of Putin,” Trump said.

According to the current president, Biden allegedly was on good terms with the former mayor of Moscow (Yuri Luzhkov -

), and it was from his wife (Biden received the money -

).

Trump said that sooner or later Biden will have to explain the origin of this money.

The president himself also indicated that he never received and never receives money from Russia.

In response, Biden stated that he had never received any funds from foreign sources.

“Competitions in greater dislike for Russia - this has already become such a constant, probably, in all electoral processes in the United States of America, to our regret.

We are perfectly aware of this and can only express regret, "- commented on the debate the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.

The Democratic candidate also mentioned publications that Trump allegedly owns a "secret" account in a Chinese bank and pays "50 times more" taxes in this country than in the United States.

A few days ago, The New York Times published the relevant information.

In the course of further discussion, Biden once again rebuked Trump for the alleged tax evasion, to which the president replied that he was preparing to publish his tax returns "in the near future."

Trump cited a September report by Republican senators that had raised suspicious deals by Hunter Biden, the son of the Democratic presidential candidate.

The document refers to Biden Jr. receiving money from foreign sources.

Biden, in turn, denied any allegations of corruption, saying that he was "engaged in the implementation of the US policy."

Debates also referred to Russia in the context of "meddling" in US elections.

Thus, according to Biden, it is "quite clear" that Russia intervened in the current presidential elections.

The presidential candidate added that China and Iran are doing the same "to a certain extent".

“I made it clear that any country, no matter what, that interferes in the American elections, will pay for it,” Biden said.

Along with this, the Democratic candidate said that "Russia is striving not to be elected the next president of the United States."

“Because they know me - and they know that I know them,” Biden explained.

COVID-19 in the USA

During the debate, both panellists addressed the topic of the COVID-19 coronavirus infection pandemic.

Trump said the coronavirus vaccine will be ready within weeks.

“We will have a vaccine soon.

It is ready, it will be announced within a few weeks, ”said Trump, noting that the military will deal with its distribution.

In response to a clarifying question from a debate moderator about whether a vaccine is guaranteed in the coming weeks, Trump responded in the negative.

He said there was "a good chance" for the drug to arrive before the end of the year.

Biden said that the vaccine is said by "a person who previously assured that (the pandemic -

) would end by Easter, and then by summer."

“The dark winter is coming soon, and he has no clear plan of action.

There is no certainty that the vaccine will be available to most Americans by the middle of next year, ”Biden said.

We add that the "dark winter" in the United States was called a large-scale exercise that began in the country in 2001.

Their goal was to prepare to repel an attack using biological weapons.

For his part, Biden said he intends to encourage the widespread wearing of masks by all Americans.

He also spoke out in favor of investing in an instant virus testing system.

In addition, Biden called for the development of national standards governing the safe opening of schools and businesses.

The debate lasted for about an hour and a half.

In the end, both candidates left the hall without saying goodbye.

Commenting on the results of the final debate between Trump and Biden, the director of the Franklin Roosevelt Foundation for the Study of the United States at Moscow State University, Yuri Rogulyov, stated that the American voter had learned little for himself.

“Basically, again, accusations prevailed against each other in various terrible crimes, ranging from racism and ending with money from Russia, which suddenly arose again, and they accused each other, and not only Russia, but also China,” the expert said in an interview with RT.

Rogulev pointed out that it is difficult to draw conclusions about which of the candidates looked more solid or convincing.

The expert pointed out that the issues of US domestic policy raised by them related to mistakes already made, rather than plans for subsequent actions.

“The epidemic was in the first place, but not about the epidemic itself, and what should be done and how people should be helped, and what kind of stimulating plan for the economy should be adopted now, but, basically, mistakes, what has not been done, shortcomings are almost half of all these debates, even two-thirds took, ”Rogulyov noted.

He also drew attention to the fact that economic issues and the problem of protest actions were considered "concisely, briefly and crumpled."

Dmitry Abzalov, a leading expert of the analytical department of the Center for Current Politics, indicated that the candidates "reached Russia in full."

The expert believes that the debate turned out to be more successful for the current president, but there were no “knockouts” in relation to the opponent.

“At Trump, the headquarters decided or recommended not to be so active so as not to interfere with Biden's own conversation.

Accordingly, Trump's position plus or minus was clear, the expert said.

“You have to understand that about 87-92% of Trump's voters will vote for him anyway, regardless of the results of the debates.”
