The executive no longer has a choice.

The announced curfew,

which now concerns 46 million French people, will last.

Emmanuel Macron confirmed it in front of Pontoise hospital.

“

At least until the beginning of December, we will have everything that has been announced by the government.

These measures, I can tell you with certainty, are not intended to be reduced, but they will be reinforced if they are not sufficiently effective.

 "

Surrounded by members of the nursing staff, to give more weight to his point, the Head of State even mentioned the probable hypothesis of re-containment.

“

It is too early today to say whether we are moving towards local or wider reconfigurations.

We will try, each time, to reduce the places, the times when we have identified that the virus was circulating a lot.

 "

The executive favors targeted re-containments if necessary rather than general re-containment.

Objective: to reduce between 3,000 and 5,000 cases per day, a stage from which a relaxation of measures restricting freedoms can be considered.

Because the development of a vaccine to get out of the epidemic will take time.

“

It is quite possible, at the end of the year or at the beginning of next year, to start having vaccinations.

Will it be a national strategy to respond to the virus?

I believe it is too early to tell and it is unlikely.

Emmanuel Macron is preparing the French to live through more difficult months, at least until the summer of 2021.
