23 October 2020 "I share the growing concern about the increase in infections we are witnessing in these days. We are still in the pandemic, we must keep our attention very high. Strengthened by the experience of last spring, we must contain the infection by aiming to avoid the 'stop of production and work, as well as the closure of schools and public offices. We must avoid a second generalized lockdown ".

Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said this when speaking at the Labor Festival.

"To do this we must remain vigilant, prudent, ready to intervene again at any time, if necessary," he added.

The Prime Minister began by addressing a heartfelt thanks to the labor consultants.

I sincerely thank you on behalf of of the entire government ".

The president of the Campania Region Vincenzo De Luca asks the government for a national lockdown and specifies that in any case "Campania will move in this direction very soon".

"Current data on the contagion - he says - make any type of partial measure ineffective. It is necessary to close everything, except for the categories that produce and handle essential goods (industry, agriculture, construction, agro-food, transport). blocking mobility between regions and between municipalities. It is frankly not seen how effective limited measures can have in this context. In any case, Campania will move in this direction very soon ".
