Archpriest Smirnov was buried in the Annunciation Church

During the funeral and funeral service of Archpriest Smirnov, more than a thousand people were present.

The funeral service in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior was performed by the manager of the Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Dionysius of the Resurrection.

Archpriest Dimitri Smirnov, honorary chairman of the patriarchal commission on family issues, protection of motherhood and childhood, died at the age of 69 on October 21.

Archpriest Konstantin Parkhomenko, in an interview with Nation News, called Smirnov one of the brightest representatives of the clergy.
