Five citizens, graduates and students of the Higher Colleges of Technology for students in Dubai Branch, created a drone to extinguish fires in places that are difficult for civil defense personnel to reach, whether on land or sea, or crowded and high places.

Fahad Al-Zarouni, the owner of the project idea, told Emirates Today that he succeeded with his colleagues: Abdullah Al-Naqbi, Maktoum Al-Nuaimi, Hamad Othman and Khalifa Al-Ameri, in manufacturing a drone (drone) intended to extinguish fires in places that civil defense vehicles cannot Access to it, whether on land, rooftops, or crowded and rugged places.

He added that the "drone" arrives in a faster and easier way to the place of fire. The fire is extinguished by using balls containing extinguishing powder with dynamite, which explodes when the ball is burned. The powder spreads on the flames and extinguishes them.

Al-Zarouni explained that the "drone" can carry six balls, and two balls can extinguish a burning car, and six balls are able to extinguish a large area of burning fire, indicating that the maximum range of the plane is five kilometers, and it flies at a height of 500 meters from the ground.

He pointed out that controlling the plane takes place in two ways: manually if the fire is near, but if the place is far away, then the plane can, through two cameras installed in it: one of them thermal and the second of high quality, go to the place of fire through the coordinates provided with it, and extinguish the fire With balls without human intervention.
