The president of the Generalitat,
Ximo Puig
, has announced tonight his intention to ask the Generalitat Lawyers' Office and the Ministry of Health for a resolution that restricts night mobility in the three provinces between midnight and 6:00 p.m. tomorrow.
Said resolution, which makes a curfew effective, will be sent to the Superior Court of Justice to evaluate its legality and could come into effect during the weekend.
Puig has justified this step - about which he has spoken throughout the day with businessmen, social agents and the rest of political groups - in the apparent evolution of the pandemic in the Valencian Community: "The perspective tells us that we are going to get worse" , has pointed out.
And as an example, he cited the increase in incidence by 45%, the increase of 97% in hospital admissions and the growth of occupancy in ICUs of 65% during this month of October.
This worsening of the data that, according to the head of Health, Ana Barceló, has begun to be perceived since the bridge of October 9, has led the Generalitat to "react decisively," the president said.
Puig regretted that the Interterritorial Council held this afternoon did not reach a unanimous agreement.
"We want a common position of a national character. It has not been like that and the Valencian Community will make its own decisions," he said.
