According to news from Taiwanese media such as the Central News Agency, Economic Daily, and Business Times, due to the withdrawal of summer work-study students from the labor market and the end of temporary work, the number of employed persons in Taiwan in September was 11.504 million, a decrease of 3,000 from August; the number of unemployed persons It was 458,000, a decrease of 20,000 from the previous month.

Under the influence of the epidemic, the number of unemployed people has been increasing since February this year, and the willingness of graduates to enter the labor market has been delayed. As the economy recovers, the unemployment situation has improved.

Although the overall situation has gradually improved, it has not yet returned to the level before the outbreak.

In addition, according to the latest statistics from the employment website of the competent labor department of the government, in September, the number of newly registered job seekers (laborers) in Taiwan's public employment service agencies totaled 61,497, and the number of newly registered job seekers (manufacturers) was 100,314. The average number of job seekers is about 1.81 job opportunities.

Among them, the number of newly registered candidates for the "electronic component manufacturing industry" was 10,128, an increase of 39.68% year-on-year, the highest in the same period in the past three years.

The agency analyzed that this phenomenon was mainly caused by the peak season for consumer electronic products in the second half of the year, and the electronic terminal industry, including electronic components such as smart phones, servers and new-generation game consoles, was on the rise.
