According to him, Putin understands that the rhetoric of the US presidential candidate is different from the rhetoric of the person who has already taken office.
"He is aware of this, and he was and will remain interested in building, or more precisely, in reanimating our bilateral relations," RIA Novosti quoted Peskov as saying on the First Channel.
He stressed that the Russian president is determined to work in this direction with any presidents chosen by American citizens.
Peskov also added that none of the candidates is more preferable for Russia.
Earlier, Dmitry Peskov said that whoever of the parties wins the presidential elections in the United States, they will not get away from Russophobia, but Russia is open for dialogue on common topics in bilateral relations.
