Barack Obama took to the stage at a drive-in meeting at a sports arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Together with the state governor Tom Wolf and the city mayor Jim Kenney, Obama spoke in front of an audience that all sat in a few hundred cars.

"Joe Biden and Kamala Harris care about every single American, including those who do not agree with them and they will fight for you every day," Obama said of the Democrats' candidates, according to the Philadelphia Enquirer.

- They understand that protests are not un-American.

It's the most American thing there is, continued the popular former president and was greeted by cheers and hundreds of howling car horns.

"Not a reality show"

Obama urged everyone to vote early and to avoid invalid votes, he explained how to technically submit his ballot paper correctly.

He noted that the corona virus continues to dominate voters' everyday lives and that the current president's actions have meant that the pandemic is not under control and that the audience did not have to sit in their cars at the election four years ago.

- This is not a reality show, this is real life.

The rest of us are forced to live with the consequences of him (Trump) being unable to take his job seriously, Obama said.

Wavemaster State

Pennsylvania is one of the states that could be decisive in this year's presidential election.

President Donald Trump won in the state of 2016.

According to the political site Real Clear Politics, Biden leads in the latest poll in the state with 49.5 percent against Trump's 44.6.

But Obama warned the audience to take a victory for granted and recalled Hillary Clinton's lead in the polls ahead of the 2016 election.

- There were a lot of investigations last time.

It did not go so well.

Too many stayed home on election day, they got lazy, they took the victory for granted.

It must not happen this time.

Do not take anything for granted.

Not in this election.
