Integrated operation of "inspection" by the Financial Services Agency and "examination" by the Bank of Japan Liberal Democratic Investigation Committee October 22, 12:17

A joint meeting such as the Liberal Democratic Party's Financial Investigation Committee was held to summarize the recommendations for the government to operate the "inspection" of the Financial Services Agency and the "examination" of the Bank of Japan in an integrated manner to examine the soundness of the management of financial institutions. I did.

It is necessary to eliminate the vertical division between the Financial Services Agency and the Bank of Japan and reduce the burden on financial institutions.

According to the recommendations made by the Liberal Democratic Party's Financial Research Council at a joint meeting with the Finance and Finance Subcommittee, the contents of the "inspection" by the Financial Services Agency, which examines the soundness of management of financial institutions, and the "examination" by the Bank of Japan overlap. There is a part that is done, and it is said that it is a double burden for financial institutions.

For this reason, we are requesting the government to eliminate the vertical division between the Financial Services Agency and the Bank of Japan and reduce the burden on financial institutions by operating inspections and examinations in an integrated manner.

Specifically,

▽ Financial institutions are conducting joint research to develop a common infrastructure on the system so that the same data can be submitted to the Financial Services Agency and the Bank of Japan at once, and

▽ Financial Services Agency and the Bank of Japan are now A new meeting was set up during the fiscal year, and from next year onward, the timing of inspections and examinations will be adjusted, and the results will be shared.

While praising the FSA and the Bank of Japan for their cooperation in checking the soundness of the financial system, the proposal encourages further strengthening of cooperation.

The Liberal Democratic Party Financial Research Council will soon submit this proposal to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance.
