Defense lawyer Frida Larsson believes that the father should be absolved completely from responsibility because he did not participate in the escalating violence inside the bus in Kiruna.
The 15-year-old's lawyer Jonas Westerlund also believes that his client should be acquitted despite the 15-year-old admitting that he handed out the deadly stab wounds.
The lawyer: There was a strong threat
According to defender Frida Larsson, there was a strong threat against one of the father's two teenage sons and that the father tried to protect him from violence.
- Since it is a question of self-defense, it is the plaintiff who has been the driving force in this situation. Had he not acted as he did, we would not have ended up here. My client should not be punished for his actions. It was necessary based on the situation that was, says Frida Larsson.
