Six days after the entry into force of the curfew in Paris and in eight metropolises, Prime Minister Jean Castex goes back, Thursday, October 22, to the front line to announce the shift of several other departments to "maximum alert", with new curfews at stake.

Requiring a vote in Parliament, it will be examined this weekend in the National Assembly.

The executive also intends to be able to apply measures to restrict movement, gatherings or the opening of establishments at least until April 1, 2021, on all or part of the territory and depending on the epidemic situation, according to the same text. .

During his press conference on Thursday, Jean Castex should also return to the economic and social measures to support hard-hit professions such as restaurateurs or artists, as well as nursing staff.

The Assembly approved, Wednesday evening, an extension of 2.4 billion euros for health establishments, which should allow the opening of "4,000 new beds" of hospitals and salary increases promised to caregivers.
