  • Congress.Pablo Casado votes "no" to the motion and breaks with Vox: "It is part of the block of the breakdown of Sánchez and Iglesias"

Pablo Casado has executed this Thursday in Congress the harshest response that Santiago Abascal has received in the entire motion of censure through a string of attacks that involves the rupture between the Popular Party and Vox.

Despite the fact that the vote of his bench was an unknown until this Thursday, the harshness of the message of the president of the PP supposes the refusal of the proposal of the Vox candidate.

A rejection that has been sustained and articulated in various setbacks launched from the speakers' rostrum and that has left Abascal "perplexed", as he has admitted in his answer.

These are the 12 direct blows with which Casado

knocked out

the relationship between the two maximum forces on the right.

1. "The cards face up"

After a brief introduction, Casado has accepted "the ordago" launched by Vox and has begun the harsh criticism against Abascal's group.

"So far we have come," he ruled before attacking the proposal presented by the candidate for the motion.

"In these two years as president of the PP I have not answered his provocations, especially out of respect for his voters," Casado has admitted.

"But today it has finally been uncovered", an opportunity that he has taken to stand out instead of supporting the motion.

"He backfired."

2. The "monosabio de Iglesias"

"What a cape he has thrown on him and what a lowdown with which he finishes the job!", Exclaimed Casado, referring to the fact that the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, is reinforced by the dispute between the two main opposition parties.

"They wanted to cut off two ears to the PP", the speaker continued with the bullfighting metaphors, "but he has ended up being a monastic of Iglesias".

Casado's first attack on a motion that he has considered "an absurdity" has raised outrage among the Vox deputies.

3. "Vox is Sánchez's political life insurance"

Casado has structured his message around the power that the coalition government will acquire after the "function" carried out by Vox in Congress.

In the eyes of the 'popular' president, the formation headed by Santiago Abascal "is Sánchez's political life insurance."

"It has come to the aid of the creature in its worst moment to revive it one more season," he lamented.

"This is one more lie from Vox for Sánchez to continue in Moncloa," he has come to blurt out.

4. "It only offers Spain fractures, defeats and anger"

Casado has continued his speech with the accusation of Abascal of being a driver and participant in the frustration and polarization that prevails in our country today: "It only offers Spain fractures, defeats and anger", and what he has considered even worse: being "the guarantee "for the left to achieve" a perpetual victory. "

5. Your own "electorate fraud"

Married, in addition, has decided to point out that Vox has executed its own "fraud to the electorate": "You did not tell the truth about the effects of the division of the vote, about your plans and about your real purposes. You hid it," he said to ensure that Abascal "deliberately confused the electorate. He deceived them."

According to the PP leader, Vox relied on various tricks during the campaign that they knew were "false", such as "1 + 1 + 1, the supposedly clandestine polls, the anonymous billboards on the roads, the pickets at our rallies, and the hoaxes on WhatsApp shouting 'pass it on' ".

In these aspects, Casado has asserted, "they also resemble the PSOE."

6. Contradictions

Another point on which Casado has wanted to emphasize has been the contradictions of Vox.

The 'popular' has wondered how it is possible that Abascal criticizes the government's management in the current economic crisis and at the same time "oppose lowering taxes in Madrid, ask to raise the minimum wage and set up a union."

He has also attacked Vox's desire to leave the European Union "and throw away the reconstruction funds and the CAP", as well as that his European parliamentary group supports five parties "that support the sedition of Puigdemont."

7. "He prefers to bury the national interest"

After half a speech, Casado has begun to connect the dots between several of the points made in his monologue.

He has crossed out the Vox proposal as "pure populism" and has indicated what the strategy of Abascal and his family is, in a quote that has recalled the previous 'popular' leader and former Prime Minister;

Mariano Rajoy: "the worse for Spain, the better for you. That is, you prefer to bury the national interest under your own interest."

"If this Government threatens Spain, and if Vox guarantees the continuity of this Government, then the conclusion is clear: either Spain or Vox", lamented Casado, who recalled that his party has worked for the last two years to "regroup the electoral space "and make a strong opposition to Sánchez and Iglesias.

8. "They sponsor the anti-Spanish spawn"

Casado's tone has continued to increase in harshness towards the Vox bench.

The "rupture and polarization" that Abascal "needs" to function as a party is part of "that anti-Spanish monstrosity" that Vox "sponsors" together with the parties that make up the Government.

A way of acting, he insisted, "cainita, destined to make the Spaniards hate and fear each other."

For this reason, Casado has continued, the PP supports its refusal "to Sánchez and his partners, the visible ones and those who are in the shadows", where he has located Vox.

9. "Radical minority"

Casado has insisted that a large part of Spain is "fed up" with the polarization in which Vox "spreads spores" and has compared Sánchez and Abascal "as magnet and metal", since they share "perverse politics".

As he has assured, Vox is a "radical minority" that, "like Sánchez's" are capable of "dragging an entire country into confrontation."

"You separate and we unite," he clarified.

10. "Government Crutch"

It was the main objective of Casado's intervention and he has not hesitated to capture it constantly and through different metaphors: "Crutch, clamp, choir ...".

Through these expressions, the 'popular' leader has wanted to separate and mark distances with Abascal's party, which he has wanted to place closer to the Executive than to his own formation.

"It is not that we do not dare. It is not that we have given up. It is not that we are cowards. What happens is that we do not want to be like you," Casado said in the final stretch of his speech.

11. "The PP is the containment dam"

Marking distances with Vox consisted not only in criticizing the candidate formation, but also in remembering the principles that sustain the PP.

"We are a serene, sensible, moderate and pro-European alternative," and not with "filibustering mechanisms," Casado said to delimit the program of the main opposition force.

"The PP continues to be the containment dam and the compass point of the majority of Spaniards who want to live in peace and freedom," Casado remarked during one of his replies to Abascal.

12. "Hostages of Vox"

On the other hand, Casado wanted to vindicate the right beyond what Vox represents.

"We will not be hostages of Vox," he insisted.

"The Spanish nation does not deserve a government proposal like the one you left here yesterday."

"We are not like you," he pointed out to the bench headed by Abascal.

"We are the calm force of the Spaniards" in contrast to the project that, he said, was presented this Thursday in the Lower House.
