A police officer was dragged several meters by a motorist on Wednesday in Lot-et-Garonne.
The driver refused a roadside check.
Injured, the police officer was prescribed five days of ITT and filed a complaint, reports
Sud Ouest.
He was driving in an unmarked car with other colleagues when the motorist decided to stop to blame them for their driving.
The 23-year-old initially refused to be checked before restarting and while one of the police officers was leaning into the cabin.
The latter eventually managed to cut off the ignition.
Drug positive, the driver was taken into police custody.
He will soon be summoned to court.
