A lot of the teaching at Uppsala University is already held digitally due to the corona pandemic, and there are distance hosts who will ensure that those who move around the university premises keep their distance.

Stick to action

On Tuesday, the Swedish Public Health Agency came up with stricter local councils that apply to Uppsala in particular, as the spread of infection has increased and is noticeable in the form of increased pressure on healthcare.

Among other things, they mean that everyone is encouraged to avoid public transport and not to spend time physically with those they do not live with.

But Uppsala University is sticking to the previous measures.

- The dangerous and large spread of infection is outside the campus area, says Johan Tysk, vice rector at Uppsala University.
