US President Donald Trump criticized a journalist from CBS's "60 Minutes" after she gave him a TV interview, accusing her of bias.

Trump threatened to publish the interview before its scheduled broadcast next Sunday, while CBS said on Twitter that the US President had cut short the interview with journalist Leslie Stahl before her time expired, without giving further details.

Trump said in a tweet on Twitter, "I am pleased to inform you that for the sake of accuracy, I am considering publishing my interview with Leslie Stahl for the program 60 Minutes before it airs."

"I will do this so that everyone can get a glimpse of what the fake and biased interview is about," he added.

In another tweet, Trump described the interview as a "horrific electoral interference," and the interview came two weeks before the presidential elections scheduled for November 3.

Trump has long accused the US media of bias against him and spreading fake news about him.
