The bill, introduced by President Vladimir Putin, defines the status of the cabinet of ministers, the procedure for its formation and activity.

In particular, according to the initiative, the chairman of the cabinet, his deputies and federal ministers (except for the power bloc) will be appointed by the head of state after their approval by the Duma.

“The new edition of the law on government is aimed at forming a unified system of public power, effective and responsible,” said Chairman of the State Duma Viacheslav Volodin.

Earlier, Pavel Krasheninnikov, co-chairman of the working group on amendments to the Constitution, spoke about the innovations in the laws on amendments to the basic law of the country.
