Former Democrat Keum Tae-seop, a former member of the Democratic Party, who was subject to disciplinary action by the party for exercising a vote of abstention in the airlift establishment bill, quit the Democratic Party.

Rep. Geum Jeon posted a post on his social media, saying, "We have reached a point where we can no longer approve and agree on the direction of the party going forward" and "We are leaving the party with loyalty and sincerity as a final protest." .

He said, "Healthy criticism and self-reflection are driven by internal gunshots, and the party leadership is desperate to see that it only calculates political afflictions."

Earlier, Congressman Geum Jeon was the only critic in the party during the incident of former Justice Minister Cho Kook, and he also abstained from the airlift bill at the end of last year.

This resulted in intense criticism from strong supporters of the Democratic Party and was not nominated in the 21st general election.

Democratic Party spokesman Huh Young said, "I don't know if it makes a lot of sense because it's a natural person to leave."
