According to the government, nine deaths are to be deplored in the country since Monday, including six by gunshot and a police officer lynched to death, as well as numerous injuries and material damage.

Dozens and dozens of young people come out of the alleys to invade the road.

Barricades on fire, throwing stones, the face to face with the police, who respond with stones, slings and tear gas, is tense.

The scene takes place in the Wanidara district in the upper suburbs of Conakry.

It was repeated throughout the day along the Le Prince road which crosses areas deemed favorable to the opposition.

Since dawn, a thick black smoke invades the sky of these districts.

The inhabitants, holed up in their homes, live to the rhythm of the shots.

The headquarters of the Guinean Red Cross was ransacked and access to the city center was severely restricted.
