The Céni broadcast Tuesday evening the first partial provisional results of the first round of the presidential election of October 18.

The figures announced concern only 4 constituencies in the country, out of 38 in total.

And in these 4 constituencies, outgoing president Alpha Condé is in the lead.

Matoto, Matam, Kaloum, in the region of Conakry and Boffa, in the region of Boké: in each of these constituencies, the outgoing president has a head start, according to the results published by the Electoral Commission.

56.69% in Boffa for example, 51.87% in Kaloum, the city center of the capital… One by one, the president of the Céni Kabinet Cissé gave the figures: number of offices, number of registered, voters… He congratulated the voters for their calm and their “

civic spirit

 ”.

The UFDG carries out its own account

For its part, the opposition party UFDG continues its own compilation, despite the warnings of the Céni and the ECOWAS.

The vice-president of the UFDG, Fadé Oussou Fofana says he has collected about 3/4 of the minutes of the 15,000 polling stations in the country.

A far-fetched statement, the minutes are not in their possession

", believes a source at the Ceni.

The results would have been reported by SMS then automatically aggregated in a database.

It would be missing mainly those of Upper Guinea, stronghold of the party in power, where the opposition claims not to have had access to the results.

In violation, she said, of a judgment of the Constitutional Court handed down two days before the vote.

It remains to be seen whether the documents in its possession will be recognized by the courts in the event of a dispute.

“

We have the same system,

indicates a source close to power.

If it works, you just have to wait for the official results

 ”

Other results expected soon

The Electoral Commission, it continues to centralize the reports in the interior of the country and promises to publish other results in the coming days.

The Ceni will continue to proclaim the partial provisional results as they are received.

 "And invites the population to"

 serenity

 ".

The opposition denounces "

substitution operations

 " of the results.

In the early evening Tuesday, a strong police presence was deployed around the home of Cellou Dalein Diallo.

In Conakry, residents of neighborhoods deemed favorable to the opposition heard gunshots throughout much of the night.
