After more than four weeks of fighting, the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan continues in Nagorno-Karabakh and many inhabitants of the region are fleeing the bombings.

Families of displaced people headed west to reach Goris, the first big city after the Armenian border.

The tourist town now welcomes thousands of them.

Some have found refuge in hotels in Goris, others are housed in the municipal crèche.

They now represent 10% of the local population.

With the failure of humanitarian truces and the continuing fighting, their future looks very uncertain.

Some mothers in Goris have left husbands, fathers and brothers in the fight, so many want to stay near the border.

Everyone wants the international community to finally succeed in putting an end to the clashes.
