It was pointed out that there are questions that need to be answered by predicting the future situation in the'Population and Housing Census' held by the National Statistical Office every five years, which may lower the credibility of statistics.

According to Rep. Gyeong-joon Yoo, the power of the people of the National Assembly Committee, among the questions of the 2020 Population and Housing Census, which began on the 15th, the question was, ``Did you work for an hour or more for the purpose of income during the last week (October 25-31)?" I noticed this.

It is pointed out that this question itself is contradictory.

Asking questions about what will happen in the future as if they were done in the past, and asking for answers, especially for daily jobs whose employment situation cannot be predicted, they have no choice but to answer in the form of'picking'.

The same applies to the question'Who took care of the child from where in the past week (October 25-31)?

For dual-income couples who do not have constant child care, inaccurate answers through prediction are bound to come out.

The Population and Housing Census is a survey that captures comprehensive information on population, households, and housing at a specific time.

It is large because it covers 20% of all domestic households once every five years.

The National Statistical Office said, "As we tried to increase the non-face-to-face investigation due to the Corona 19 situation, this phenomenon appeared earlier and it was possible to correct it by making a phone call," and said, "The non-face-to-face investigation will also begin from the 1st of next month." .

However, as of the 21st, Congressman Yu pointed out that 13.9% of the respondents already responded, and there is a risk of statistical contamination due to the low possibility of correction.

Rep. Yoo, who also led the investigation as the National Statistical Office in 2015, said, "Even if it was due to a non-face-to-face investigation, the investigation had to be made after the first day of next month."
