Four days after the attack perpetrated in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine against a history and geography professor, the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, announced Tuesday, October 20 that the pro-Palestinian collective Cheikh Yassine, "directly involved" in the Samuel Paty's assassination according to the Head of State, will be dissolved Wednesday in the Council of Ministers.
The Cheikh Yassin collective, named after the founder of Hamas killed by the Israeli army in 2004, was created by Abdelhakim Sefrioui, a radical Islamist activist currently in custody in the investigation into Friday's attack.
Abdelhakim Sefrioui notably posted a video on YouTube a few days ago in which he denounced the murdered professor, described as a "thug".
"Decisions of this type against associations, groups of individuals, will follow in the coming days and weeks", added Emmanuel Macron in a short speech at the Bobigny prefecture.
Cells fighting against Islamism
"It is not a question of making new declarations (...), these are acts which are expected by our fellow citizens. These acts will intensify", he launched alongside the Minister of the Interior , Gérald Darmanin, while a vast police operation has been launched since Monday against the Islamist movement.
In Seine-Saint-Denis, Emmanuel Macron "chaired the meeting" of the anti-Islamism cell set up at the beginning of the year, the very first of its kind.
These cells have since been installed in 98 departments.
The government claims to have obtained "significant results".
Nationally, since February 2018, 356 places have been closed, including 12 this month.
Also using the weapon of controls by social organizations, the state also obtained 5.1 million euros in recovery from the Family Allowance Fund and 19.2 million by the Urssaf, indicates the Elysee.
