October 20, 2020Copfew from 9pm to 6am in the areas of Genoa most affected by the Coronavirus. This is what is foreseen in an ordinance that was announced this evening by the mayor Marco Bucci and the governor of Liguria, Giovanni Toti.



"From 21 to 6 in the morning - Bucci announced - the historic center and the districts of Sampierdarena and Certosa will be closed to the public, meaning that you can only circulate if you go to a specific business, a restaurant or a bar, or to your home . We are making decisions that are not easy - underlined the mayor of Genoa - but we must protect the health of the citizens. We cannot afford further laxity ".



Against gatherings


"You can leave the house, but it is forbidden to park outdoors in more than one person. Maximum rigor and maximum attention are required," said Governor Giovanni Toti, explaining the contents of the regional ordinance, shared with the Minister of Salute, Roberto Speranza, before the signing. 



The part of the provision announced by the president of Liguria Toti to prevent any form of gathering will come into force as early as tomorrow starting at 12 noon. The ordinance, starting from tomorrow, provides that "the activities of amusement arcades, betting halls and bingo halls are allowed from 5 to 18 ", that" public and private events are prohibited ", the" absolute ban on gathering "and the" closure of cultural and social centers and recreational recreational clubs, allowing only bar services from 5 to 24 and catering ".



School: only 50% in the classroom


From next Monday, distance learning in rotation for high school students from all over Liguria, with the exception of those in the first year. More than half of the students cannot be present at the same time in each school. It is one of the measures envisaged by the new regional ordinance signed by the governor Giovanni Toti, in agreement with the Piedmont Region. "The pupils will rotate between teaching in presence and distance - explains Toti - this involves a lower burden on public transport that we will measure on Monday. We plan to reduce crowding and to have vehicles full of less than 80% of their capacity". In addition, the governor adds, "we asked the regional school management to invite all institutions to reduce or stop the activities most risky for contagion, such as music lessons with wind instruments, hours of gymnastics, promiscuous workshops".
