Media: In museums in Berlin, exhibits were damaged by unknown vandals

This is stated in a joint investigation by the weekly Die Zeit and the radio station Deutschlandfunk.

It is noted that the attack took place on October 3, but the public was not informed about the incident.

Unknown persons doused at least 70 objects in the Pergamon Museum, New Museum and Old National Gallery with oily liquid.

Ancient Egyptian sarcophagi, stone sculptures and paintings of the 19th century were damaged.

Berlin police are investigating.

Earlier, a case of vandalism was opened in Miass after the incident with the monument to Lenin.
