According to the minister, total quarantine in the country will be introduced if the pandemic reaches the "third level".
This level implies the detection of 11-15 thousand cases of coronavirus in the country per day, as well as the occupancy of the bed fund of Ukraine with COVID-19 patients by 85% or more.
Stepanov also spoke about the "fourth level" of the pandemic.
At this stage, more than 20 thousand cases of coronavirus will be recorded every day, in connection with which the resources of the medical system will be exhausted, and patient care will become selective.
“We will be forced to apply the triage protocol with the priority of providing medical care,” he said.
On October 20, 5,469 new cases of coronavirus were detected in Ukraine.
The total number of registered patients reached 309,107.
