• Justice: the art auctioneer who swindled 6.5 million from family and friends

  • Events.'El Chule ', the local Albacete policeman who killed a Colombian for a debt of 1,900 euros of cocaine

Calls to 112 began around 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 25.

Several drivers alerted emergencies that they had come across a motorhome that was traveling in the opposite direction along kilometer 73 of the

A-381

, the Andalusian autonomous highway that runs between the Cadiz towns of

Jerez de la Frontera

and

Los Barrios

, known as the

Route of the Bull

.

The vehicle was traveling at high speed and heading towards the coast. For two kilometers, the drivers

I know they ran into

Caspar FD

, which was the name of the driver, a British man, in his 30s, managed to avoid him.

Not so a large tonnage truck that collided head-on with the motorhome at kilometer 75, which runs through the municipality of Los Barrios.

The truck driver, 41, a neighbor of

Two sisters

(

Seville

), was rescued from the cabin with serious injuries and transferred to the hospital in

Algeciras

Nothing could do the emergency services, however, for the two people who traveled in the motorhome, the aforementioned, Caspar, and his companion,

Delphine C.

, a few years older than him and of French nationality.

As a result of the brutal impact, the caravan was gutted and its contents scattered on the asphalt.

Firefighters released the bodies of its two occupants.

Civil Guard

Traffic Department began working on the accident investigation with the hypothesis that it was a kamikaze vehicle and the objective of establishing the reason why it was circulating in the opposite direction.

Until the bodies of both reached the autopsy table and the forensics concluded that not everything was as it seemed.

Delphine, Victim 36

The state in which her body was found indicated that she had not died at the moment of impact, but hours and even days before.

Delphine also had a head fracture prior to the injuries caused by the accident. After knowing the results of the autopsy, on October 13, the Government Delegation against Gender Violence included Delphine in the list of fatalities of sexist murders, the number 36 so far this year.

Caspar allegedly first ended her life and then decided to commit suicide causing an accident and taking Delphine's body into the caravan. The couple, as elmundo.es has learned, were on vacation in the province of Cádiz.

He had already starred in an incident in towns in the area.

The most serious on August 6.

That day, accompanied by Delphine, he entered the Civil Guard post of Barbate very upset and shouting that they wanted to kill him. The agent who attended him at the door, asked him to calm down but Caspar responded by attacking him.

When the other civil guard who was at the post came to the aid of his partner, the British also ended up beating him.

Two officers injured

More than two months later, both agents are still on leave.

The first, with injuries to the boiler and back.

The second ended with a broken tooth, a cut on his upper lip, a dislocated finger and a bruise on his knee. According to Delphine explained, Caspar suffered from mental problems and was not currently taking the medication he had prescribed.

He was in the middle of a psychotic break and was not the first to suffer.

In the previous days he had already starred in other incidents, in the port, for example.

They had to take him out of the water because he started swimming in the boating area, where it is prohibited.

They also report that he got into one of the boats, from which he had to be forcibly removed. The assaulted officers called for reinforcements and Caspar FD was reduced, sent to jail and immediately placed at the disposal of the guard court.

The civil guards denounced the attack.

The judge who dealt with the case decreed his release. In view of what happened later, the Spanish Association of Civil Guards (AEGC) regrets that the civil guards, like the rest of the members of the security forces of the State, are not considered "authorities" but "agents of authority".

In this way, an attack against them, they explain, results in a fine.

The condition of authority would have meant Caspar's entry into prison until trial.
