His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and head of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, inaugurated yesterday President Joko Widodo Street, coinciding with the anniversary of Widodo’s assumption of the presidency.

President Joko Widodo Street is distinguished by its location in the heart of the central business district of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, due to the presence of the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC), which hosts leading international events, conferences and forums attended by pioneers, experts and visitors from the world, as well as the headquarters of a number of the most important companies, business institutions and government agencies.

The street is also distinguished by its strategic location in the Al Sefarat neighborhood, which is considered a main center for many diplomatic missions in Abu Dhabi.

In an official visit to Abu Dhabi at the beginning of 2020, President Widodo and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan witnessed the signing of 16 agreements and memoranda of understanding between a number of agencies and institutions in the UAE and the Republic of Indonesia, covering the fields of education, health, energy, ports, environment, agriculture, Islamic affairs and endowments.
