SVT Nyheter Småland has previously reported on the problem that the roof of Växjö's new municipal and station building has become a place for birds to stay and build nests.

This has led to the roof being full of bird droppings that risk corroding surfaces and solar panels.

Bird spikes are installed

Now the municipality has had enough of the shit and will install bird spikes on the roof to get rid of the problem.

According to the municipality, the spikes must in a safe way, without harming the birds, prevent them from staying on the roof.

Bird protection strips must also be installed around the solar cells.

In the clip, you see what it looked like on the roof of the new municipal and station building when SVT Nyheter Småland was there.
