dozens of
individual
s
" were underway Monday 19 October in the morning and will continue the next few days, said the interior minister Gerald Darmanin in an interview on the antenna 'Europe 1.
These operations do not target individuals "
necessarily linked to the investigation
" into
the assassination of Samuel Paty
but aim to "
convey a message
: (...) not a minute's respite for the enemies of the Republic
", added Gérald Darmanin, without giving more details.
According to the latter, these are operations decided following the Defense Council held the day before after the assassination of this history and geography professor on Friday in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine.
According to the minister, some in custody "
clearly launched a fatwa against the professor
".
The minister points the finger in particular to the father of a student from Conflans Saint-Honorine college and the radical Islamist activist Abdelhakim Sefrioui.
The two men are among the eleven people held in custody
in the investigation into this attack
perpetrated by an 18-year-old Chechen Russian.
More than 80 investigations have been opened for online hate and arrests have taken place since this assassination, added the minister.
Disolution of CCIF and Baraka City
The day before,
Emmanuel Macron and his government had promised political responses
"
in the short and medium term
" after the assassination of Samuel Paty, to which tens of thousands of people
paid tribute on Sunday
.
The minister then affirmed several measures, including his desire to dissolve several associations.
In the viewfinder of the government is the Collective against Islamophobia in France (CCIF), "
obviously involved
", according to the minister, and of which "
a certain number of elements allow us to think that it is an enemy of the Republic
" .
It "
affects state aid, tax deductions and denounces state Islamophobia
".
Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin announced his desire to ban the CCIF
Europe 1
In total, "
51 associative structures will see a certain number of visits from State services throughout the week and several of them, at my suggestion, will be dissolved in the Council of Ministers
", announced Gérald Darmanin.
He also cited the NGO Baraka City, founded by Muslims close to Salafism.
Its president Driss Yemmou was placed Thursday, October 15 under judicial supervision as part of an investigation for harassment on social networks.
The association arouses a strong enthusiasm among many young believers but also the suspicion for its sometimes radical positions.
His Facebook account is followed by more than 715,000 people.
