During the visit, which comes to activate the peace treaty recently signed between the United Arab Emirates and the State of Israel, ways to enhance cooperation and strategic partnership between the two countries, especially in the agricultural and technical field, were discussed.
The delegation began the visit with a meeting with His Excellency Alon Schuster, the Israeli Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. The available investment opportunities and ways to enhance commercial and agricultural cooperation were reviewed, in addition to discussing a number of issues related to food security in the two countries.
The delegation met a number of officials at the Agricultural Research Center of the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture "Volcani", in the presence of the heads of its institutes, and was briefed on the latest solutions and innovations in the field of irrigation and agriculture, especially in the field of desert lands and the optimal use of technology in the field of grains and fruits, and pest and insect control.
The delegation also met with officials of the company "Netafim", the largest company interested in irrigation and desert agriculture issues, in addition to a meeting with a number of officials of companies specialized in the fields of dairy production, digital agriculture, water generation from fresh air, post-harvest technologies, pollination techniques, hydroponics, fish, fertilizers and companies specialized in fresh products. At the end of the visit, four memoranda of strategic partnership and cooperation were signed between the first two countries with the "Netafim" company to open a regional office in the UAE to prepare studies for the development of irrigation and agriculture operations in the United Arab Emirates, Al Dhahirah agricultural company projects, a memorandum of understanding and a second partnership with the company. grapa "to discuss the cooperation of the two companies in the cultivation and production of new varieties with intellectual property rights in fresh fruits.
This memorandum provides more joint work opportunities between the two sides, in particular the countries in which the "grapa" company is currently present, in addition to the possibility of working together in other countries in which the phenomenon is currently operating or intending to enter.
A third memorandum of understanding was also signed with the Agricultural Research Center of the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture "Volcani" with the aim of conducting studies on the effects of salinity on agricultural production, particularly its effect on desert agriculture, greenhouses, greenhouses, palm trees and fruit production.
