At the forum, more than 260 guests and youth representatives from both sides of the Taiwan Strait gathered together to talk about blood relationship and seek common exchange and development.
Provide better conditions for Taiwan Youth to start a business
The Third Cross-Strait Youth Development Forum held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province focused on cross-strait youth exchanges and cooperation with the theme of "Joining Hands to Build a Beautiful Homeland".
Youths on both sides of the Taiwan Strait speak freely on topics such as jointly fighting the epidemic, developing the digital economy, and supporting youth entrepreneurship.
Liu Jieyi, director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council’s Taiwan Affairs Office, said that we will continue to unite our Taiwan compatriots, resolutely oppose "Taiwan independence", firmly promote the peaceful development of cross-strait relations, and firmly advance the process of peaceful reunification of the motherland.
It is hoped that the broad masses of Taiwan compatriots' expectations for peace and development will converge into a majestic force to contain "Taiwan independence" and advance reunification.
"We insist on promoting the peaceful and integrated development of both sides of the Strait, and take the lead in sharing development opportunities with Taiwan compatriots and Taiwan youth." At the opening ceremony of the forum, Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee Secretary Yuan Jiajun issued 8 measures to benefit Taiwanese and Taiwanese youth: establish a platform for entrepreneurship and innovation of Taiwanese youth in 5 universities in Zhejiang; support the establishment of the Zhejiang-Taiwan Youth Entrepreneur Alliance and a platform for exchange and cooperation between young entrepreneurs in the two places ; Cultivate 50 Taiwanese youths to participate in cooperative homestay projects; invite Taiwanese youths to participate in the planning and design of 100 organic villages and rural communities; attract 1,000 Taiwanese college students to Zhejiang for internship, employment, and entrepreneurship; provide 1,200 Taiwan youth e-commerce anchor training places ; Invite 5,000 Taiwanese businessmen and youths to connect with Zhejiang’s major development strategies and share development opportunities; to give priority to the “Taiwan Finance Card” for the development of Taiwan youths in Zhejiang and provide high-quality financial services.
Encourage young people on both sides of the strait to join hands
"Even though the current cross-strait situation is precarious, I will come to the mainland again. There are still people who are willing to speak out the aspirations of most Taiwan compatriots in pursuit of peace." Hong Xiuzhu said that the original intention of holding the Youth Forum was to build a bridge for young people on both sides of the strait, to help the younger generation of the Chinese nation eliminate differences and enhance communication and understanding.

Out of one-party selfishness, the DPP authorities deliberately obstructed and disrupted non-governmental exchanges across the Strait, threatening to suppress people on the island who are committed to improving cross-strait relations, creating a "chilling effect" and harming the legitimate rights and interests of Taiwan compatriots.
It is clear who is thinking of Taiwan’s youth and who is harming the interests and well-being of Taiwan’s youth.
The Cross-Strait Youth Development Forum has been held for three consecutive years and has become an important activity platform for cross-strait youth exchanges and learning, mutual integration and common development.
At the forum last year, Zhejiang Province issued five measures to benefit Taiwan compatriots, especially Taiwan’s youth.
Over the past year or so, the local government has promoted 189 Taiwanese youth registered enterprises and individual businesses, established 38 entrepreneurial teams, and implemented 1,598 Taiwanese youths to come to Zhejiang for internship, employment and entrepreneurship. These are vivid portrayals of the mainland's care for the growth of Taiwanese youth.
"The mainland is full of opportunities"
At the forum, young people from Taiwan praised the entrepreneurial and development environment in the mainland, and were full of expectations for the future.
"Starting a business in Taiwan is like playing a small game. It won't feel the pressure of competition, so there is no opportunity to become bigger and stronger."
