"Servicemen of a mobile multidisciplinary hospital of one of the formations of the Southern Military District (YuVO) made a march on their own in standard equipment from the city of Budennovsk (Stavropol Territory) to the Republic of Abkhazia, having covered a distance of about 800 km," the press release says.
113 servicemen and about 30 units of military equipment arrived in Abkhazia.
Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Defense of Abkhazia appealed to the Minister of Defense of Russia Sergei Shoigu with a request to deploy a field hospital in the republic in connection with the increased number of new cases of coronavirus among residents of the country.
