The Supreme Committee for Crisis and Disaster Management in Dubai, headed by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, decided to allow the resumption of wedding parties in halls and hotel establishments, as well as in homes, temporary halls and tents in residential areas, as of October 22, in order to facilitate the Society and enabling it to celebrate such happy social events in accordance with the prevailing traditions, taking into account the strict application of a set of conditions and preventive measures that ensure the safety and health of all participants in such events.
The decision came in accordance with the recommendations submitted to the committee by the concerned authorities, as the committee stressed the importance of the cooperation of families and families in confirming the accurate implementation of all safety requirements, to ensure that the first goal of these measures is achieved in preserving the health of individuals and avoiding exposure to infection with the emerging corona virus or the spread of infection between Attendees.
The requirements for holding weddings and social events in the aforementioned places included the following: That the number of those inside the hall does not exceed 200 people, and that the tents and homes do not exceed a maximum of 30 people, according to the capacity of the place, provided that the perimeter of one individual to separate from others is four meters Square of the total area of the place, the obligation to wear masks all the time, the possibility of removing them while sitting at tables only, and the maximum number of attendees at one table is five people, and avoiding sitting face to face or close distances (not less than 1.5 meters between one person and another).
It also included leaving a distance of two meters between each table and the other, and the duration of the ceremony should not exceed four hours in halls, hotel establishments, homes, tents and temporary halls, and urging people with chronic diseases and the elderly not to attend to ensure their safety, and to refrain from attending those who have sick symptoms, such as coughing or High temperature, and there is a set of guiding instructions that the halls, hotel establishments and service-providing companies must adhere to follow.
The Supreme Committee clarified that it will ensure that the guidelines set forth regarding weddings are applied, and that the necessary legal measures will be taken against the violators, stressing that efforts to combat the "Covid-19" pandemic are still continuing in Dubai and the whole of the UAE, which calls for the cooperation of all members of society, and everyone must show Maximum commitment to avoid being in large gatherings, and to follow all instructions.
