  • The curfew comes into force in the Lille metropolis this Friday evening.

  • It will now be prohibited to go out between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.

  • The Lille police interrupted an evening in a cellar with about fifty students.

Descent to the cellar.

On the night of Thursday to Friday, the Lille police services interrupted a party that was taking place in the basements of a residential building.

According to the Departmental Directorate of Public Security (DDSP) in the North, these were students who were enjoying their last evening before the curfew came into effect.

Since the Lille metropolis was classified on maximum alert due to the coronavirus epidemic, bars have been closed.

Failing to go out in the bistros, the revelers had found the parade by organizing parties at each other's homes.

But from Saturday, midnight, and for at least four weeks, the inhabitants of the European metropolis of Lille will no longer be allowed to walk between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.

A curfew decreed by the President of the Republic, precisely to prevent the holding of these private parties.

About fifty students in the cellars

Suddenly, the night from Thursday to Friday was the last that allowed to party without having the eye on your watch.

It is undoubtedly for this reason that an inhabitant of the rue Colbert, in Lille, had organized a good big evening, not in his apartment, but in the cellars of his building.

The fact that this takes place in the basement did not prevent the noise from waking up the whole neighborhood, to such an extent that the police switchboard received several calls from overwhelmed residents around 1 am.

Several patrols were dispatched to try to put an end to the disturbance.

The police fell, while visiting the cellars, on about fifty students.

Once the sound system was disconnected, they were asked to return to their respective homes, which they all did without flinching.

The organizer of the party, he was fined for the night noise.
