October 18, 2020 Healthcare, school, Cig, reductions for hiring, single allowance for children, aid to the most affected sectors and local public transport.

These are the pillars of the 40 billion anti-Covid maneuver, (23 in deficit and about 17 billion in European aid), absorbed by the emergency, which the government approved 'save-agreements' during the night.

The extension of the Covid redundancy fund provided for in the maneuver also in 2021 is worth 5 billion euros.

The final text of the budget law will be completed in the next few days and sent to Parliament.

Gualtieri: "Important and ambitious maneuver"

A "very important and ambitious maneuver, launched at a time when our country is still suspended between the difficulties caused by the pandemic and the concrete prospects of a strong economic and social recovery, for which we are all committed".

This is how the Minister of Economy, Roberto Gualtieri, defines the 2021 budget law which, he explains on Facebook, "amounts to over 39 billion euros: about 24 allocated directly to the budget to which more than 15 billion from the Next Generation EU program are added" .

The maneuver, with which the executive "initiates a profound change expected for many years" allocates the resources to implement "the tax reform and puts into effect the cut of the tax wedge for workers which came into force last July. In July it will start the single allowance for children, and from 2022 the IRPEF reform, which will also be fed by a fund that will bring together the higher revenues deriving from the fight against tax evasion, which together with the digitization of payments is a priority of this government "underlines Gualtieri.

"The main objective is to give a decisive boost to the recovery of the economy, supporting investments, education, welfare and continuing the reduction of taxes on labor and businesses. With a significant budget expansion we are orienting Italy towards growth and employment in the name of innovation, sustainability and social and territorial cohesion, and we do this by trying not to leave anyone behind, starting with those most affected by the crisis caused by Covid ", he adds.

Six billion for the Mezzogiorno wedge cut, 4 for tourism, catering, transport

With almost six billion we finance, when fully operational, we issue a 30% reduction for all workers in the South, which started just this month with the August decree.

Expansion contracts, vertical part-time and other important measures will join the 5 billion that will guarantee the redundancy fund and who will need it also in 2021 ". Writes the minister on Facebook." To support the activities most affected by the crisis such as tourism , catering, transport, we are setting up a Fund, worth 4 billion euros ".

" We have also planned - continues the minister - to continue to support the liquidity of companies by extending the duration of the moratorium on loans and mortgages.

We refinance the Central Guarantee Fund for loans to SMEs and further strengthen Sace's intervention through 'Garanzia Italia', with public guarantees in support of medium and large companies.

Finally, we extend the measures to support the re-capitalization of SMEs within the framework of the interim framework.

The resumption of collection activities has been postponed to 2021 "
