A 26-year-old man was tried on Friday before the Saint-Malo criminal court for having deliberately run into a police officer.
The facts took place in the early evening of August 13 in the corsair city.
On patrol in their car, the police had spotted a vehicle that was increasing traffic offenses.
While the latter was stuck in traffic, an official approached the driver to carry out a check.
The individual then accelerated and rushed towards the policeman who had just drawn his gun.
"He managed to jump just before being hit and slipped on the hood," Commander François Botella, contacted by

Falling violently to the ground, the policeman was slightly injured in the arms and legs.

After hitting the policeman, the driver fled before being arrested the next day.
