Measures The Government closes bars and restaurants for 15 days
The
Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia
(TSJC) has endorsed the measures presented by the
Generalitat
to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
Although most, such as the closure of bars and nightclubs, had been in force since last morning, the Government had suspended three pending the court ruling if they violated fundamental rights.
In this sense, the court resolution also endorses the prohibition of meetings of more than six people, the suspension of face-to-face activity in universities and the limitation of capacity in places of worship.
In this way, during the next 15 days these measures will be applied together with the closing of bars or the reduction of capacity in shops and gyms.
The Government details that these measures are taken urgently to deal with the increase in Covid infections.
However, the
Fecasarm
employer
has filed an appeal with the TSJC asking that the closure of bars and nightclubs, as well as gaming establishments, be suspended as a precautionary
measure
, as it considers that it could mean enormous damage to the sector.
