The tame moose Laban has escaped - in the middle of the moose hunt

The tame moose Laban is in space in the middle of a burning moose hunt, which P4 Kalmar was the first to report on.

The lab is said to have been seen this week by a hunting team in the forest outside Emmaboda.

Markus Karsamo, who is the hunting leader for a small hunting team in Karsahult, is looking for the moose.

- We have received a picture of Laban and we have been told by the owner of the moose park that one of his horns has been sawn off, says Markus Karsamo.

Risk that hunters do not see that he is tame

When he first heard that a tame moose was in space, he thought it was too incredible to be true.

- We are out in the woods to shoot moose, but now we will save one instead.

They do not want to shoot the tame moose so they try to be extra attentive, but Markus Karsamo does not think that the moose walks so safely out in the woods.

- It can walk a long way and if another hunting team that does not know that it can be tame sees it, they can think that it has been in a fight with another moose bull and knocked off the horn, then it is probably lying around, he says.
