The culture school will be closed during weeks 43 and 44.
- We have created routines for what we would do if we got infected in the business and now we follow that plan, says Lars Hammar, head of cultural school.
It is Kalmar municipality that in consultation with the region's infection control doctors has made the decision.
All personnel will be tested and infection tracing has begun.
Remote game lessons
During the next week, no one will be staying in the Kulturskolan's premises, all to slow down the spread.
But that does not mean that all teaching is canceled.
A lot can be done digitally, the children who play an instrument can still have their playing lessons but with the teacher at a distance.
- We already have a routine for that, we did a lot in the spring to reduce the spread of infection.
No new circus
But Kulturskolan can cancel the activities where several students usually come at the same time.
Next week, for example, there will be no course in new circus.
The culture school will also have closed during week 44, but since it is autumn break, no students would have been there anyway.
