During the session, ministry officials shed light on the most prominent objectives of the national platform for self-employment, which is the first interactive national electronic platform that connects citizens (independent) with various employers at the state level, providing them with the opportunity to apply for projects and review experiences, evaluation and development, and electronic payment solutions using Safe and innovative tools, explaining that the most important goal of the platform is to create a non-traditional, vital career path that enables citizens who possess at least one of the skills targeted by the platform, to help them invest in it and generate income through it.

They indicated that independent work is an unconventional work pattern in which the individual achieves income by practicing work independently and flexibly, and through which he provides a skillful service temporarily to implement projects or temporary work tasks, unlike the traditional work in which the employee receives a recurring salary from the employer, They called on employers to rely on the system, as it achieves three functional and material privileges for them: The first is that it is characterized by a high degree of flexibility and independence, and the second is that it establishes a temporary work relationship between the agency and the independent, in addition to that the payment of wages is in exchange for the completion of a task or project for a specified period .

Ministry officials emphasized that the state pays great attention to the success of the independent work style and seeks to expand its application on skilled citizens, pointing to allocating a set of incentives to persuade and attract employers to deal with independent national cadres, most notably the implementation of the recommendations of the Council of Ministers regarding directing 10% of purchases Government for each entity, to citizens and the companies owned by them

The session witnessed interactive discussions between ministry officials and representatives of employers, who asked a number of questions, most notably about the independent work system, mechanisms for dealing with freelancers, and the conditions for registration with the self-employment platform.

Ministry officials stated that employers deal with the platform through five steps: First, registration with the platform, then offering the project that the employer wants to complete, and then specifying the project phases and the time range, followed by selecting the appropriate national skill holder from among the citizens registered in the platform, and finally Pay the wage to the skill holder upon project completion.

In response to a question about developing the skills of citizens registered with the platform, Ministry officials responded that the national platform for self-employment provides free online training for citizens with independent skills during the first month of joining it, and it includes four main specializations, including: time management, personal marketing, and how to become independent Successful, and the development of technical skills, pointing out that passing these trainings is a condition for continued membership in the platform, and freelancers will subsequently undergo free specialized training courses in the areas of their skills.

The session touched on the mechanisms regulating financial transactions (wages) between employers and skilled freelancers, as representatives of the ministry explained that once the employer chooses any service from citizens registered in the platform, they will be notified of the service request by e-mail, and through the platform's smart application, to formulate A final agreement on work and service pricing through standard comparisons between the service that the citizen will provide and the equivalent in the market, so that the citizen sets a competitive price, taking into account the type of service provided and the volume of work required, and a wage negotiation can occur between the employer and the citizen.

They pointed out that financial transactions between employers and freelancers are made by electronic payment through the platform, as the amount agreed upon between the two parties from the service requesting entity is reserved in an electronic wallet supervised by the platform's management, and payment is made to those with national skills (independent) upon the completion of the project and the approval of the entity. The percentage of project completion is also taken into account, as a percentage of the amount is deducted in the event of non-completion in the required manner in accordance with the terms and conditions policy.
